The Dynamites are our lessons to swim team transition group. Swimmers must be able to swim 1/2 length of pool freestyle and backstroke. Our group emphasis are body position, kicking, and side breathing. Dynamites may participate in local developmental meets when the coach has determined they are prepared for competition
Dynamo 1s are our beginning level swim team. Swimmers must be able to swim one length of freestyle with side breathing and one length of backstroke to join the group. The group introduces athletes to all four competitive strokes, diving progression, and team skills. The Dynamo 1 group competes in optional local meets.
Dynamo 2s continue the stroke progression begun in Dynamo 1s. Team skills are emphasized, to include lane etiquette and being a good teammate. Dynamo 2s work on four legal strokes, racing dives, and flip turns.
The Blue group continues to learn and refine proper swimming technique as well as work on our competitive edge. The Blue group has swimmers with a wide range of abilities and is dedicated to producing strong swimmers and excellent teammates. Blues compete at local, state, and zone level meets in order to meet the goals and needs of all of our group members.
The Silver group is our highest age group training group. Athletes in this group are dedicated to the sport and are proficient in all four competitive strokes. Silver group swimmers strive to be competitive at the local, state, zone and national level through consistent practice and dryland workouts.
The High School Performance group is for athletes ages 13-18 that are working towards the Senior/Silver groups, or have other interests that significantly affect the time they can spend swimming. All levels of swimmer are accepted into this group and the coach and athlete work on an individual training plan that accounts for both the athlete's goals and their commitment level.
The Senior Group is designed for athletes 14 years and older who qualify for the Colorado LSC Championships, Sr. Zones, and Sectionals, and are training toward Futures, Juniors, and beyond. Athletes compete at Falfins hosted events and a number of regional and national travel meets. Senior Group athletes learn racing skills, strategies to compete at the next level, how to take ownership and accountability of their swimming, and increase their focus on strength development and conditioning.
The Adaptive Aquatics group is for Special/Paralympic athletes that want to participate in group practices with their peers, advance their swimming skills, and/or compete at regional, state and national events. This diverse group is led by Special Olympic and USA Swimming Certified coaches alongside volunteers and has a very high coach to swimmer ratio. Our goal with this group is to provide a comfortable space for out athletes to thrive. Many of our Adaptive athletes have moved on to train with other groups on the team.
